with port forwarding. How do it do it?

I don't have a firewall except for the regular Windows XP one. My modem is an Efficient Networks 6300.

Are you trying to unlock a port on a specific game?

I don't even know. Supposedly if you forward certain ports your connection on Xbox live is better.

Oh, well not really... The thing that is really messing it up at all is your NAT

Yeah tha;ts how it makes it better apparently, it opens your NAT.

err what does NAT mean?

Oh god, something about network translation... That was my guess but it is network address translation so I was missing a part, lol... But basically if you have it closed, you get a worse connection...

Yes and no... Yes because it does close some things out but a NAT2 is all you really need to have things moving freely... If you're like me though, I manage my list with the port list if I'm adding new ones... But unless you're getting a connection that like disconnects or is hard to join, then you may want to open ports... Had to do that when I ran BF2 servers and I even had to put my IP address on a trusted list to get in my own server...
