hey guys im trying to start with graphics im using gimp on my ubuntu machine and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to become a fairly good designer.......and destroyer if ur still posting around here dont bother saying anything cause ull just get reamed a new one

Find out how to install more brushes on your machine(differs with each Operating System), then go here and search "Gimp brushes" and download some that you think will look cool, then put them in the right folder: http://www.deviantart.com/

Once you found out how to install brushes, there should also be a folder right beside the brushes folder called "fonts." Go here to get more of them: http://www.dafont.com/

Now here's a place you'll want to create an account for, so you can get renders(like pics of master chief, captain price, etc.) to use in sigs: http://www.planetrenders.net/

But really just experiment with different filters and things, and learn where everything is. Then you should take a look at the tutorials, so you can find everything they mention in them. Also remember to keep practicing too, and post up a few things when you get done with them.. But eh, be warned, you WILL be critiqued.. lol

also whaat size are sigs?

well theres no set size, its mostly preference.

hey do u guys know how to make gif images that are like 10 seconds long?or so
