My xbox isn't reading disks. What the hell do I do...?

same thing happened to my real life friend, he has to insert disks, reset, punch, ect to get it to work. either send it in or keep your hdd and get an arcade.

youmihgt be screwed and your disck drive might be dead all you can do is keep trying or send your box in for red ring which means make it red ring lol but isnt your schust new dude?

if you got a new xbox when you got it shotty, hurry up and talk to microsoft and send it back dude, you should still be on the manufacturers 1-year fix-all warranty, your disc drive is dead.

No i get that all the time. You have to put your disk in and slam the tray shut with your hand. It works for me. i get the unable to read disk all the time.

UPDATE: I waited a sec after turning it on and it ended up reading the disk so we'll see how it holds up

That shouldn't be serious anyway... Mine does that sometimes and I just keep putting the disk in until my 360 decides to read it

Yeah it's exactly what happened.

I was opening/closing the tray and putting in different games and finally it decided to read one. Since then it's read 4 different games so I think I'm good.
