Microsoft has announced it will be reinstating old Gamer Tags on its Xbox Live service, which have been relegated to the dead user name graveyard over the past years. Allowing gamers to now use old tags from infamous Xbox Live “graveyard,” that had become unavailable due to users changing a Gamertag or closing an account.
Microsoft is currently working its way back through the thousands of dead gamer tags but says that the process of renewing all the old tags could take some time. So we suggest you check back at regular intervals to see if that desired tag is available.
Xbox Live memebrs can change their tags in the profile section of the Xbox Dashboard. The cost to change a Tag either a revived tag or a brand new tag, is 800 points or $10.
