During their Pre-E3 press conference today, Konami has revealed a Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders HD Collection for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will contain the following titles: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be the two PS2 offerings: Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders 2: The Second Runner.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will see release in November; meanwhile Zone of the Enders won’t be released until 2012. To make the PS3 version special, each Collection will also support a new feature known as Transfarring, which will allow players to transfer their PSP saves to this version, play on the PS3, and then transfer the save back to the PSP and continue playing. Zone of the Enders will also support this feature despite no PSP version of the titles being released, so it could play into NGP support though no details have been revealed on that subject tonight.
Each collection has received a graphics overhaul and will come packed with HD visuals, Achievements/Trophies, and improved audio quality. This will mark the first foray into HD for the Zone of the Enders franchise and it will surely be a lovely sight to behold.
No price has been announced at this time for either HD collection.
