DRAGON AGE 2 LEGACY COMING JULY 26TH

nnounced just now at EA's Summer Games Conference, Bioware took to the stage and stated that they had received a lot of feedback from critics about Dragon Age 2, and they took notice. They now hope to address this with Dragon Age 2 Legacy, coming soon. This is the first major story driven DLC for Dragon Age 2 and you’ll be able to dive a lot deeper into the Hawke family with lots of new areas present when the game ships July 26th.

"Dragon Age 2 brought a load of new fans into the franchise, but saw a lot of the new fans gravitate to the new game and art style. The fact that the controls are a lot more responsive and dynamic, and the story is more intimately focused was the reason they came back," according to the Bioware spokesman, speaking at the conference.

Brand new creatures roam the DLC, and you’ll be much more tactically challenged by enemies. Last but least the enemy in the game is so powerful its been kept secret for millennia. The game itself will have 'excellent new mini-bosses', which hopefully will bring some variation to the game's combat.

The game will also contain something known as 'Pillars', which need to be collected in order to fight the mysterious and highly dangerous boss that they alluded to at the conference. Bosses and enemies will also take advantage of the environement much more in the game, meaning you must play more tactically.

The original Dragon Age 2 game caused a big rift between fans, some of who hated the new direction taken by Bioware with the title, while others quite liked it. Here's hoping the DLC reinvigorates the excitement of both Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 and combines them into one neat package.
