If you thought Gears of War was a franchise that just didn’t pack enough masculinity, lacked testosterone, failed at being tough, lacked grit or just didn’t have enough man-beef hulking around on the screen, then Epic will turn your frown upside down because the Old Spice guy has officially joined the cast.
According to a GameSpot article covering this year’s San Diego Comic Con...”the panel announced that Isaiah Mustafa--known for his manly man Old Spice commercials--will be joining the cast, voicing one of the COG Gears.”
Cliffy B. also commented on the news, saying...”The cast just keeps getting sexier and sexier.”
I mean, isn’t that what we’ve been asking for out of a Gears of War game? Sexiness? I mean, Marcus went and took off his sleeves, showcasing those burly man-arms, and Dom grew out a beard, letting everyone know that he’s old enough to grow a beard. And now…now…we’ve got the manliest man from a TV commercial adding some serious sexy-time to the popular third-person shooter. Isn’t that what every guy has been asking for?
Mustafa joins an established cast of voice actors, including Claudia Black, John Di Maggio, and Ice-T to name a few. Maybe we should start a campaign to get Mustafa in an alternate costume consisting of him in his now infamous towel? There's nothing more humiliating than being tea-bagged by a guy wearing nothing but a short white towel...I think even showing up to school without your pants would be less humiliating than getting tea-bagged by a guy in a towel.
