Subject: 10th anniversary of 9/11, 2001. Sun Sep 11, 2011 6:49 am
I do not intend this to be religious or political, just a reminder of a fact that everyone should take some time out of their day to remember the nearly 3,000 people that died on this day 10 years ago, as I am writing this right now we are 2 minutes away from when flight 11 hit WTC north tower, I want to remind everyone that as people we are all human, and we all share the same flaws and characteristics as humans.
People from all walks of life, of all ages, races, religions, and sexual orientations lost their lives on this day in a very senseless act of violence against PEOPLE, we're all human, lets all try to have a little more respect for one another, a little more peace towards everyone, at the end of the day we're all part of the human race, and we all deserve the basic human rights of respect and safety, people from all backgrounds can be good or bad, inherently it's not the race, religion or anything else that determines that, but the individual themselves. And as I close this out we are now 2 minutes after the first plane hit WTC north.

Most people here were probably just little kids when this happened. I was already living in Michigan and getting ready to start a new job. I was watching the news and saw the second plane hit. This was definitely something I'll always remember.
I remember the day after when I went to my new job for the first time the gas stations were selling gas for like $10 a gallon, which is pretty illegal, I think a day or two later they were forced to put the prices back to normal.
The spirit of the people are what I'll remember the most though, everyone wanted to sign up in the military and do their part against the war on terror. I cant really imagine what type of bravery it takes to go over to a different country and fight a war like this.
Anyway, just be thankful you live where you live. Things aren't perfect here, but I'm always thankful to live in the home of the free and land of the brave.
PS:Asap, don't ruin this thread with BS.

I was in first grade at the time. I remember a few vivid parts of that day, but I didn't understand the extent of the tragedy at the time.
