Battlefield 3 "Beta" out today on Xbox 360 and PS3

Just letting you guys know that the Battlefield 3 open beta is out today. I downloaded it this morning, I guess I'll let you guys make up your own opinions about it, I think the maps are way too big for the amount of players. The gameplay and graphics are a mix between Medal Of Honor and Bad Company 2. Most of the time you'll probably spend running to get somewhere only to get sniped out of the blue, since there are no kill cams, good luck figuring out where from. I made a game out of it, see how far I could get before getting sniped, then break that mark!

Also, any of you with "slithering" experience from COD should implement it here.
I actually think Crysis 2 on the Xbox 360 looked way better then this, Gears 3 also has superior graphics and especially textures.
Not sure if anyone can talk, I know nobody talked in my squad. Still I managed to go positive on the maps I played.

Battlefield has lowered graphics on xbox and PC too unless you can run it in ultra-high graphics im pretty sure.

it is crap and its nothing like cod bf3 is a piece of StUfF game i don't care if it beta or not i know what im not getting now

This about sums it up. Grave was like "I'm cancelling my pre-order". He isn't alone either, I think the people at Activision were pretty happy because MW3 saw a huge increase in pre-orders after the BF3 beta came out.

I mean really, you drop under the map, bad hit detection, people laying in bushes, no communication, no teamwork. They should rename it "Runfield" because you spend most of your time running around!


Also Wolf, it's NOTHING like COD. COD is fun and has small to medium maps, which is perfect for console gaming. Battlefield 3 has huge maps and only 24 players, so there is far too much room to just lay prone and camp in StUfF.
