| Subject: 'Robert Bowling' Further Improvements to Modern Warfare 3 Spawns, Double XP Teased Sat Jan 14, 2012 12:42 pm | |
| Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward talks about further improvements to Modern Warfare 3.
Robert Bowling was recently asked if the spawn logic of Modern Warfare 3 would be seeing further tightening and if shotguns will ever be buffed. To this, Bowling answered that “both are things I agree with and am discussing.” If you recall, MW3 received a recent fix to address spawns, but the game undoubtedly needs more work in this department.
Bowling also re-confirmed that the Theater Mode will be seeing some improvements stating that there ”is a known issue with short videos.” For many, short videos just skip to the end when playing back. He added that “it will be fixed along with other Theater improvements in the next title update for MW3.”
When asked if developers would be doing anything about Dead Man’s Hand (or as one fan called it, “Dead Noob’s Hand”), Bowling stated “not at this time, but we’re always discussing and re-evaluating balancing. Taking all feedback into account.” In case you missed it, Bowling also recently spoke of Scoreboard Improvements.
During the last holiday season, Call of Duty Elite Founders were granted 2 hours of double XP, but what about non-Elite members? Previous Call of Duty titles had Double XP weekend more frequently. When asked, Bowling commented, “yeah, we’ll definitely have some Double XP weekends to celebrate. No dates set yet however.”
So far, the teams behind Modern Warfare 3 have done a decent job improving the game since launch | |
