Close call...

Got a RRoD for about an hour... Didn't even know why since I never use it really... Does that happen to any of you at all?

its only RRoD if its 3 red lights, i'm pretty sure. and if you had RRoD it shouldn't be working still i think

lol, its never been less then 3 rings... I know what I see, lol... It pisses me off because I get scared that I'll have to send it back... Same thing happened to me for a day about a week after I got my 360 and it was 3 rings... That's why I'm asking if it happens to any of you

Well technically they're all RRoD, but the 3 lights is the overheated one, and yes i've heard of that happening all the time where people just randomly get it then it works.

from what i've heard the best thing to do is unplug everything and just let it cool. i've had one friend get it 2 times lol. his didn't have a warranty or it was voided or something so he threw it out his window cuz his RRoD stayed

lol, well the funny thing is that was like the first time I touched my 360 for like 5 days or a little less then that and I get that, lol

i know you can get rrod doing somethin with the power cord

The RROD is permanent.
This has happened to me also
Simply was overheated, not the RROD

you should keep it away from your tv, ps3, cable box or any other appliances that might be turned on
i heard that makes it overheat too

lol, obviously you didn't see the art where I said that my 360 hadn't of been turned on in like 3 days and nothing was on around it... I'll take the power briock story since that thing is a failure anyway... That thing is so damn hot most of the time...

That's just yours, mines is cool. My 360 doesn't even get warm...but I am playing in a basement and the 360 is on a slab of marble.

Mine is sitting on glass with nothing in the way with a fan blowing air into it... No dust to be clear... I think it's the power brick thing

Glass is bad, you want it out in the open.

Sitting up or lying down?

It's laying on top of a glass case with TONS of open access to air with a cooler blowing air into it to keep it cool in a vertical position... I've only had it horizontal once and it got much hotter

What cooler? Some are absolute garbage and make it worse.

The same one I've had for over a year... It helps draw and push are into the system right where the fans are and that thing keeps my system cooler then my Wii is on standby which is good... It's not an overheating problem because like I said, I never really play it
