Medal of Honor is an upcoming first-person shooter video game in the Medal of Honor series, developed by EA Los Angeles and DICE[3], due for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010[4]. The game will be a reboot of the series, set in modern-day Afghanistan. Medal of Honor's single-player campaign will use a heavily-modified version of Unreal Engine 3 and its multiplayer will use the Frostbite engine.[1]. This game is expected to utilize dedicated servers as hinted by Sean Decker, General Manager at EA, in Atomic PC's feature article. [5]

Plot

There will be one seamless single player campaign. The player will play as multiple characters that each partake in diverse and unique experiences from both the “Tier 1” and “Big Military” perspectives.[6] The storyline will follow several "Tier One Operator" soldiers working under the National Command Authority in Afghanistan.[7] Players will also step into the shoes of the standard issue military and will be on a larger scale than the "Tier 1 Elite Ops" campaign, as players will only be a small part of the 'war machine'.

Gameplay

The emphasis will be on realism, with EA going as far to bring in consultants from the United States military. It is expected to include the kinds of objectives and tasks issued in real life such as raiding terrorist hideouts, hostage rescues and undercover operations. The single player is set to include some driveable vehicles such as helicopters, jeeps and a quad bike.


Now some of the Battlefield fans will say this sounds a lot like Bad Company or whatever, the difference is Prone, somewhat smaller maps and they clearly are going after the Modern Warfare players with this reboot.
You can deal with some of the vehicles if it plays like a COD game.
Look's interesting anyway....and yes I realize that MOH would be on an MOH game...haha funny...we would never stop hearing about it.

If it has the frostbite engine, i recommend buying this game. Frostbite is an amazing game engine.

Well Actually it uses the Unreal engine as well. It's pretty much the same as the other MOH games.
Difference is, prone...I love going prone!

Gameplay looks like Bfbc and the story looks like a rip off of mw2.

I use to love MOH. Im getting this i just hope it is good. and its coming out same time as Cod Vietnam.

Well if it sticks to the MOH formula, then you'll be able to go prone. Also all MOH games have the ability to set the controls to "COD" settings exactly.
It's modern which is a change for the MOH series.
The thing that might sway me is the vehicles, but I can deal with a few. Also MOH games have open voice chat, so no shitty 4 person only schust.

The veichles will make this game worth wild i bet, Even if it only has a ATV's that opens up bigger maps and the will probably have unlimited sprint on also so you can just run across a whole map easily to get to the action.

Well they are going for realism, so no unlimited sprint. No MOH game has had that.

MOH rocks, just it's been all WWII and no modern stuff. They play a lot like the COD games though IMO.

Well going prone and full squad chat makes it not like BFBC2.
Which makes it great IMO.

4 person squad is a sin and a blessing. The way the game is played changes dramatical, much more teamwork is involved. How ever it limits the amount of voice chat which really hampers the game. As for no prone, i really don't miss it cause i don't hide in the grass. Plus if your a ghille sniper there's plenty of bushes to crouch in and make it work.

They want realism, so no unlimited sprint, no not going prone, full party chat. MOH series has always been about realism, even down to them getting military advisors to comment on it and guide the direction of the dev team.

I personally am about 80% certain I'll move to this game over COD Vietnam, COD is getting tiresome, activision is a publisher full of money hungry bitches that don't give a schust about the games and only about milking as much money out of a name as they can so I will never buy another COD game again to be honest.

Hellhammer every company is about making a some what good product but not doing the best they can just so that they can get alot of money and when it breaks they get money in repairs.
Its the same way with everything.
Example last year i bought 3 of the same rod, all 3 broke the same way while fighting a fish that should of handled the fish easily. I send it back and they say send 20 bucks and you'll get a new one.

All I know is I'm probably done with MW2. So whether it's MOH or Gears 2 or 3 or Halo Reach, but I definitely want to play a game without glitches and trouble the likes of which plague MW2.

i wouldnt want to play gears 2 as a clan. maybe moh but not gears 2 or 3.

Gears 2 is fun and tactical. I think it really takes teamwork.

Ya so does cod if you don't get assholes who only go for killstreaks.

COD is full of glitchers and BS man. I mean there is a little BS in Gears, but the online experience is a lot more fun. You can even use the party chat.
Until they fix MW2, I'm not playing that schust. I want IW to give me my money back honestly or they should GIVE AWAY the map packs, not make us pay $15 on top of the $60 we paid for a glitchy, sorry excuse for a follow up to one of the greatest FPS games ever.

I dig the pop and go stuff though. Prone in a 3rd person shooter isn't as important to me as it is in a FPS.
We could never do Gears on GB though, we'd have to wait for the next one and jump in right away, the only GB teams that do Gears are uber try hards.
