-- The ASTRO A30 uses the same ASTRO Audio DNA developed for the critically-acclaimed A40 pro gaming headset, and comes with with three audio cables for mobile, PC and gaming consoles.

-- The dual mic system comes with removable boom mic for tournament or at-home play, as well as an in-line mic that can be used for phone or internet conversations.

-- Noise-reducing closed backs allow for clear sound when you're outside or in loud areas.

-- Like ASTRO's A40 pro gaming headset, the A30 also features removable speaker tags, which can be customized online.

-- The A30s come standard with a ballistic nylon travel case.

-- The headset is also fully compatible with the ASTRO MixAmp system, which allows for full voice communication features across gaming consoles and personal computers.

I'm a little unsure about these. Trittons are like $120 and might be the better headset at a cheaper price.

these are better than trittons for the same reason why A40's are the headset for MLG. the noise cancellation. Astro's have the best noise cancelling headsets (for 360 atleast) which is what makes the A40's good for MLG (huge loud events, noise cancellation helps alot) so im sure thats the main difference.

but id guess if ur getting the A30's youd probably get them with the Astro Mixamp (bumps it up to $230) and honestly for that price you're better off bumping it up $20 more for the A40 w/ mixamp. and it says u need the mixamp for it to work with Xbox or PS3 so yea A40 would be a much better deal. Plus idk what i think about it being an "on ear" headset instead of "Over-Ear".
