| the new maps are terrible. i never thought mw2 could be any bigger of a camp-fest, and i was wrong. BUT: the cod4 maps in it are amazing. the lighting, the atmosphere, and the general awesomeness is worth it | |

| Crash is by far the best map on the map pack. Haven't played overgrown yet. Bailout is a HUGE disappointment, too camp-y. Salvage is the worst map in the game. Storm I haven't had too much of a chance to play yet, though my one time on search playing it was somewhat alright, a lot of high ground to be had though, and if you stay on the ground, you're screwed. | |

| They said they would be releasing new perks, guns and emblems/titles. That was official, so maybe those get released for free down the line? | |

| I'm guessing those will be free, as those are more of a "mixed" thing that players are going to want to use on more than just the extra maps.
And I played the maps a bit more. As I'm learning them better I'm liking them more and more.

Well, if you decide you want to go outside you will likely get shot within a few steps, could be a sniper and could be an automatic gun. If you decide you want to stay inside, you'll have to watch for campers around every corner. It's pretty painful

| lol figured these maps would be schust, IW is dead, someone should hold a mock funeral for them, they can't program for schust anymore because they sold their soul to fucking activision. fuck MW2, they destroyed the perfection that was the modern warfare franchise, on the second fucking game! christ! I'd understand it if this was MW3 or something, but to go and milk and kill the franchise after the first is fucking ridiculous. For fucks sake, they should've GAVE the map pack away and ported ALL the COD4 maps on to it, especially for all the glitches on MW2, and the shitty party system. I wouldn't buy the maps, wake up people, you're paying an extra $15 for maps for a game where they can make new maps and schust for it but not fix the problems its had since day 1? How about they fucking fix the party system? or get rid of some of the glitches before worrying about releasing new maps IW/activision? It's fucking stupid. | |

| After getting used to the maps a bit more, I'm loving them. I was playing with my IRL friends earlier and I went positive about 10 maps in a row, with tons of harriers/a handful of chopper gunners. Honestly once you get to know the maps getting killed by campers isn't really a problem.
Basically, you have to stay away from the "bad spots" of the maps, like you know it's a bad idea to walk right up the driveway to the estate when there are snipers all over the place. It's the same general idea. If you're smart about it, you can really enjoy the maps. I've come to like all the maps (besides salvage, still a terrible one)
