NFL Free Agency

I think the spending has gotten crazy.
Why even have a salary cap if you still have to pay players so much money? It makes it very hard to stay competitive.
Each team has a cap of $127 million Dollars but you need to pay 53 people.
Take for example Albert Haynesworth the guy is a Defensive end who just signed a 7 year contract worth 100 Million Dollars with the Redskins, now this now sets the bar for all other top Defensive ends, we can thank the Redskins for continuing this trend.(sarcasm)
It used to be skill positions were the highly paid spots, like QB, WR, RB etc.... Now your paying guys like Bart Scott who was a Raven last year and signed with the Jets today for 6 years 48 Million, Don't get me wrong I love Scott but last years stats don't merit over 8 million a season for a Linebacker. 82 tackles 61 solo Tackles 1.5 sacks 2 Forced fumbles and No INTS or Defensive TDs. To me its just not worth it. You pay a QB 8 million a year not a LB.
I've had to see more and more of my favorite players leave. Chris MCalister was cut from the team and why? because he was making 8 million a year as a starting Cornerback.
Now I agree with paying Corners a good price, if you have corners you are set.
The spending has gotten crazy though, I'm not happy with teams like The Raiders and the Redskins and now the Jets who end up costing everyones teams their best players by driving up the cost to resign them.

Thats how all sports are, if they are going to pay that much than they need to increase cap or wait... why don't they limit how much you can pay for certain positions like they do in real life . Playing defensive people that much is insane, especially if no one can cover Santonio Holmes. I'm not a Steelers fan... but seriously that superbowl was disgusting at the end... 3 on 1 coverage and he still gets the ball. Good luck to your team CG

The cowboys BASICALLY have the same team as they did last year, except for a few changes on the defense. We'll see if they discipline the team this year before the season starts. If not it will be the same shit. False starts, Miscommunication, personal fouls, etc.

The cowboys are a great team and in my opinion one of the most talented teams in the whole NFL. They could easily win a superbowl or 2 with this team.
