Bulletstorm is hitting store shelves next Tuesday and it is bringing access to the Gears of War 3 beta on the Xbox 360 with it. Some have asked if you'll be required to hang on to the game to get into the beta. Epic's Joe Graf puts that question to rest.
Speaking from Twitter, Graf said, "A bunch of people have asked...yes, you must have your Epic Edition Bulletstorm disc to access the Gears3 MP beta."
So if you had been planning on picking up Bulletstorm for a code and then trading it in or reselling it, tough luck. You'll have to hold on to it until the Gears of War 3 beta launches sometime in March.
Note that you'll have to buy the Bulletstorm: Epic Edition for the Xbox 360 to guarantee a spot in the beta. Buying the PC or PS3 versions won't get you in (obviously) and the Epic Edition is on a very limited run.
Bulletstorm launches on February 22 while Gears of War 3 will launch sometime in the Fall.
