As everyone may or may not know the WII 2 or next Nintendo Console is going to be revealed this E3. Now if rumors are anything to go on it will be a lot more powerful then the PS3 and the XBox 360 and offer both motion controls and standard analog controls like the PS3 and 360.

Now with that being said, who in the clan would actually purchase a new Nintendo console geared more towards the core audience, especially if they include some sort of online service that can actually compete?

Keep in mind that It's also rumored that Microsoft and Sony have no plans to release a new console anytime soon, With the PS3 just now making a profit and coming out with quality games and with Microsoft selling 12 million Kinect units and being the number 1 console on the market the last 8 months and also freeing up 2 extra gigs on their current DVD 9's so developers have more room to work with, it's clear Sony and Microsoft aren't in a hurry to release new consoles for at least a couple years, maybe longer.

So anyone interested in a new CORE Nintendo console?

Keep in mind Nintendo wants more 3rd party support, so games like Call Of Duty, GTA, Resident Evil would be available on this new console.

Not at this point. I think the next nintendo console I'll buy will be for my young kids some day. (Insert joke about how Shotty doesn't have to worry about kids for another 20+ years)

Well I've read a lot of articles that claim Sony and Microsoft wont release anything new for three years or so. Nintendo is releasing the HD console they should have released originally instead of the Wii IMHO.

If they can get support and quality versions of games like COD, GTA, Red Dead, Resident Evil, I'd for sure be interested. Especially if they offer a quality online service. Just think what they could do with Metroid online, it could be the Nintendo's version of Halo.

I'll have to reassess when we learn more about the system. Especially if it's gonna have normal analog controls.
