's official. The Call of Duty Elite trailer has been leaked and it is next to impossible to contain now. We have gotten our hands on the trailer and analyzed it. Now we are going to give you the low down on what to expect.
The trailer was shot using Black Ops multiplayer mode and reveals plenty of the new features that are going to be available.
Elite is like a the mutant offspring of organized sports and social networking that is going to kick your face in. It is expected to change the way we play multip[layer. It is essentially an online service that lets you form groups, compete, share films of your favorite games, view maps, guns and much much more.
The service can be assessed via any mobile device -tablets, smartphones, computers, etc.
Elite is set to work for all Call of Duty Games from Black Ops and beyond.
The group feature allows you to start or join a group for basically any reason. Just friends, coworkers, futile enemies, whatever. Join together before stepping your gameup and forming a clan.
Elite will also feature a load of live feeds and intel feature to help you improve your game. Here you can also view personal stats and compare them with friends and enemies alike to see where you rank in the COD universe. Reminiscent of Halo 3, you can get detailed analysis of your performance for past games. Analyzing this information is going to be crucial for when you decide to up the ante even further and compete in Leagues.
Once you compete in Leagues, actual stuff will be at stake. Real prizes will be given, but what those prizes are is anybody's guess.
The program guide will keep you completely up to date on everything elite just in case you are one of the few who isn't able to play 24/7. It is your Call of Duty All You Can Eat Buffet.
The theatre feature is bound to be one of the most used features in Elite. You can record, edit and share any video you post for viewing by other elite members, on Facebook, youtubem and other sites.
More info on Call Of Duty Elite, the optional subscription for COD
Recently reported by the Wall Street Journal, the awaited digital platform details for the leaked “Call of Duty Elite” program have made ground. Designed to launch in tandem with the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 title, BeachHead’s “Elite” services will compare greatly to “Bungie Pro” premium services, with some improvements.
Providing some services at no cost, picking up services currently available on CallofDuty.com, such as the theater, then expanding on them further by subscription – Detail your performances of each game you’ve played recently, including all weapon statistics to determine which sets you’ll perform best with. In-depth analysis such as this service will compare to those already available on Bungie’s Pro services, and as such, expect Activision’s services to continue on the trend when cost finalized.
No set price has been established, however month-to-month costs for Activision’s incoming premium service won’t come to the costs of Netflix, so don’t expect to pay nearly that of an $8 fine for the options detailed.
The Elite service will provide you with every map pack addition for the Call of Duty titles supported as a main component to being a subscriber, which means that should Activision drop three map packs in the lifespan of Modern Warfare 3, the valuation of your service will be at least so much as $45 U.S..
At this rate, expect that should Activision compare these services’ values, and we can see the following costs incurred. (The following is speculative valuation)
$45 – Map Pack(s) $4 – Bungie Pro For 1 GB of Video Data/24 Slots
Projected “value” of Call of Duty: Elite – $5/Month
Were this speculation true, Activision will make a profit on users of an extra 15 dollars per year while enabling users to access a probable 1-5 GB of video uploads and stored game data. So is it all worth it? Weigh in in the comments section below!

Ya, see most people saw COD and subscription and thought it was making you pay to play it, turns out it's more of a social media hub with increased stat tracking and whatnot . If they offered subscription for say $30 a year I could see a lot of people getting it because 3 map packs at $15 each is $45, so you would actually be saving money in the long run.
