| Ahead of the launch of Gears of War 3 later this month, Microsoft is bringing to retail a number of special accessories for the Xbox 360 console. Already revealed are the limited edition controllers, strategy guides and a brand new console design, but the latest item to be added to the list is a special Gears of War 3 Xbox LIVE Subscription Pack.
Set to be launched at retail in time for the arrival of Gears of War 3, the all-new Gears of War 3 Xbox LIVE Subscription Pack features the familiar twelve month subscription with a recommended retail price of £39.99 GBP that we’ve all become used to. However, it also offers an additional two months of Xbox LIVE Gold membership, much like previous packages for Halo 3, Halo: Reach, Forza Motorsport 3 and others have done.
One additional bonus however, is entirely unique to the Gears of War 3 Xbox LIVE Subscription Pack. Previous Xbox LIVE Subscription Packs have offered Xbox LIVE Avatar Items, dashboard themes and similar items, but for the first time the Gears of War 3 Xbox LIVE Subscription Pack offers an in-game item as a special bonus. The Gears of War 3 Xbox LIVE Subscription Pack will include a code to receive a free in-game weapon.
It’s not yet been revealed which gameplay modes this exclusive weapon will be available in, but it’s most likely set to be reserved for the multiplayer gameplay modes. | |
