With it's release only a few days away, Treyarch comes out with another major announcement regarding it's AAA tittle. We are all more than excited about the new theater option which includes the ability to stream matches and host them online directly from your consoles. We are pleased to hear that this option will be hosted by Youtube itself.
YouTube has been officially announced as partner for this program where players will have the option to stream matches from their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360's directly onto there personal youtube channels. Head of Treyarch Mark Lamia officially stated the following after an interview regarding this issue,
“With our competitive play and eSports initiatives, we wanted to deliver live streaming capabilities built right into Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, because Call of Duty is not only fun and exciting to play, but we believe it will be just as exciting to watch. By making the capability of live streaming as accessible as possible to our fans, straight from a player’s console without the need for any additional hardware or sophisticated setups, we are empowering our fans to share their multiplayer experiences.”
This new feature will revolutionize the way we game socially, and maybe create a bigger following for the game in the e-sports industry, as Lamia mentioned. We also know that Activision did mention that there will be certain limitations and restrictions in place with the service, but those details have yet to surface.
