Screens, info on endangered XBLA Star Wars game leaks

Information coming from Kotaku indicates that Lucasarts' future under Disney's banner is unsure, putting more than just Star Wars 1313 in danger. Another game was revealed by sources inside the developer -- Star Wars: First Assault, shown below in screenshots provided to Kotaku, was slated to be an Xbox Live Arcade-released multiplayer shooter that could support up to 16 players in rebel-versus-Stromtrooper battles. The nearly-done project, sources said, would serve as market-testing for Star Wars Battlefront III. If the game released and was warmly-received by fans, Battlefront III would be greenlit and developed using First Assault's code as a framework.

However, the change in company structure made since Disney purchased Lucasarts has put First Assault on hold much like Star Wars 1313. Hopefully we'll have good news to report regarding both the developer and its projects soon.
