Gears of War 3 gets dedicated servers (Goodbye Host advantage)

The host advantage does suck in Gears 2 but I tend to get host often so it evens out. Glad to see no more advantages, just skill matters.

Gears of War 3 will include dedicated server support, much to the relief of fans, CVG has learnt.

Developer Epic games has made the move in an attempt to address online problems that affected the last game, including sluggish matchmaking and occasional lag, we've heard.

Although now mostly addressed via Xbox Live patches, the Gears 2 issues left a bad taste in many early adopters' mouths - something that hopefully won't happen again with the third game.

Should still be 10 players online, maybe 12 .

Eh, I like the 10 player stuff... It works for that game pretty damn well and I normally hate small scale games
