I've known about this headset but i just recently heard its also an option for xbox 360. It looks like a good alternative to Turtle Beach, Trittons or Astros. Theyre commonly used for PC professional gaming but they can be used on xbox 360 also (with an adapter)
Steelseries Siberia v2
I heard about these from a friend on codspot. he's actually selling his Astro A40's and mixamp and is buying this headset. Alone you can get it for $70 off newegg.com. the asapter u can purchase at the steelseries website for about $15. all the reviews for it are very good. for xbox gaming id say it looks like it would be like a Turtle Beach except more comfortable and with much better sound.
Now for PC gaming this thing is amazing. you can buy it for about $100 and it comes with a usb soundcard... thing that has 7.1 surround sound (compared to astro a40 mixamps 5.1) so for PC gaming you would be getting better sound quality for $150 less than astros.
also instead of using the $15 steelseries xbox adapter u could use this headset with the astro mixamp and instead of paying $250 for A40's and the mixamp combo the Steelseries Siberia v2 ($70) and astro mixamp alone ($130) would save you $50 and you would still be getting 5.1 surround sound.
I just thought for people who are looking to get a headset would be interested in seeing this. it looks like a very good alternative, especially if you are also a PC gamer and would get the 7.1 soundcard. Im thinking about getting these with just the adapter but would maybe save up to purchase the astro mixamp to go along with it later.
