According to a Yahoo! Sports team report, the Baltimore Ravens are upset with officials not protecting Joe Flacco like other NFL quarterbacks.

On Monday after the win over the New Orleans Saints, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh said that the officials should have thrown a flag in the third quarter after Saints defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson sacked Flacco and it appeared that defensive end Will Smith deliberately kneed Flacco right in the head while he was on the ground.

The play exasperated the Ravens because earlier in the game safety Ed Reed was penalized for roughing the passer when his right arm came in contact with Drew Brees' helmet.

"I know his last name is not Brees or Manning or Brady, but our quarterback is very good. He needs to be protected just like the rest of the bunch," Ravens receiver Derrick Mason said. "You can't allow our quarterback to be hit after he throws the ball or he's on the ground. That's just not called for. If the league fines them, so be it. But if there's fine, then there should have been a flag as well."

Flacco was extremely upset himself as the TV cameras caught the usually even keeled quarterback yelling expletives as he complained to officials because he truly believed that he was hit late on the play.

Same StUfF happened with Vick. Except it was play after play. Late hits out of bounds, two defensive lineman both getting helmet to helmet shots, you name it! The only way to beat Vick is to knock him out which isn't easy to do. Once Reid started complaining, we started getting calls, so we're much better off. I expect the same to happen with Flacco the next time somebody breathes on him.

Bullcrap, the Butt tried to ram his knee's into Flacco's head. I saw the same cheap tactics by the Saints last year against Favre in the playoffs. I hate the fact that if your names not Bree, Manning or Brady you don't get any calls. Especially when Ed Reed barely touched Bree's head and got a 15 yarder earlier in that game.

That happened to the Eagles against Peyton Manning. We were up 2 and it was their last chance and we stopped them, but Trent Cole brushed Manning's head and they got 15 yards and a second chance.
