| Gaming peripherals maker Razer has launched its new generation of Xbox 360 gaming controllers at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.
The Onza Xbox 360 controllers are aimed at the "hardcore competitive gamer", offering "superior customisability with adjustable resistance analog sticks" for "exceptional" gaming precision, TechRadar reports.
The device, which is available in Tournament and Standard editions, also comes with an improved D-pad and two special buttons on the shoulder of the controller that allow users to access additional commands and controls to improve their game.
Razer said that Gamers can pre-order the controllers from 17 January.
Robert Krakoff, the president of Razer's US division, commented: “We predict mass hysteria in-stores, people will fight over fast-selling stock. Blood might be spilled. So I recommend pre-ordering for minimal stress and safety issues as riots and mass mobs are expected at Razers' retailers.”

| $50 for tournament edition which has the variable sticks, or $40 for the standard that just has the re-programmable buttons. | |

For competitive gaming and gaming in general yea. There is a slight delay with all wireless controllers, which is why at events and everything people use wired controllers. Hence tournament edition.

For competitive gaming and gaming in general yea. There is a slight delay with all wireless controllers, which is why at events and everything people use wired controllers. Hence tournament edition. Wired controllers are also required for many tournaments due to the syncing. If everyone used wireless controllers they would be syncing to the wrong xbox a lot of the time. The problem with finding a wired controller is the fact that Microsoft brand controllers suffer from the problem of Slow turn, which wireless controllers do not have. Slow turn is where one or both of your analog sticks does not turn at the full speed in every direction. An example is if your right analog stick suffers from slow turn, you might look up at the proper sensitivity but will look down much slower. Microsoft had attempted to release a fix for this and started selling 2nd generation wired controllers which said Xbox Live on the cases. It was found that these controllers were not always no-slow (about %50 of the time they were slow turn) and the only way to assure you get a no-sow controller is to buy one from MyCustomXbox or other reliable sites, or fix it our self, which voids the warranty and is difficult to do. The Razer Onza is supposedly supposed to fix the slow turn but MLG is looking at banning the controller due to the customizable buttons causing an unfair advantage to players without the controller.
