Microsoft has today confirmed that its recently released Gears of War 3 has now sold over 3 million units worldwide in its first week alone.
These numbers are good, and now means the franchise has earned $1 billion which is staggering for a single format title. With more sales expected over the coming months it will be interesting to see how many total units can be sold and whether they will eclipse Gears 1 and 2.
