XBOX Live Gold: Free?

Pretty interesting read to be honest. I've never really thought about it, and was completely willing to pay for an online service like XBL, but now this article has made me start to think...

That article raises a few points, but you also ahve to realize they sue those apps as incentive FOR people to get Gold to play online and such, that's why they're locked to silver members, Microsoft wants the system to be the go-to for everything, online play, etc, so they sell it in a package, not to mention they have the best apps for all that stuff compared to everything else. Roku boxes, etc all kind of suck, not to mention you're paying for the Kinect support, etc
