are we talking about ps3 or 360? cause i have no idea what it's like for ps3, but 360 you need to download it to the hard drive, and then you play the account off of that hard drive.

Ahh... Well I can do 2 things to keep track... One thing I can do is check my status to see when it expires and two, I normally buy a card in February so that means the next year I'd get it and wait for Xbox Live to warn me that my membership is almost out and it tells me what day my gold status will be removed... I'm also getting a 1 year card because mine is gonna run out in about a month
