Windows 7 is cool

Just thought I'd share that with everyone. I just got Hellhammer to upgrade me and I'm digging it so far. Much faster then Vista and super easy to use. A lot of cool features and whatnot.

i bet a lot of the features ur talking about could have been found in ubuntu

I'm sure, but I prefer using the easiest and most well known and used OS.
I'm a huge fan of Windows 7, really great.

understandable only reason i dont use it is everytime i use a windows machine my hard drive ends up getting fried

lol run security then futstriker. I like ubuntu, but no one in their right mind can compare ubuntu or linux to windows in terms of support. I have a fairly new system and ubuntu won't even run on it, doesn't support my graphics card, or my motherboard chipset, so unless I wanna run with 8 bit nintendo color on a 800x600 res and stock drivers for everything, its useless for now. I'll admit, ubuntu is a nice OS, but not nearly polished enough for everyday use for an average user, I could get by with it if my hardware was supported, but an average user will not.

IMO, Windows 7 is JUST as stable as ubuntu and linux as far as I've seen, 3+ day uptime, no problems, havent had to restart, haven't had any issues, the only issue I had was when I first installed it that it didn't play well with my processor being overclocked so high, I had to drop the clock speed 100Mhz to get it run without glitches, guess its a little more picky than xp.

I'm a PC and Windows 7 was MY idea.

which version of ubuntu do u have cause my dad gets his to work with all that

whatever the newest one is, like I said, not a bad OS, just lacking support and other major things. I like Gentoo the best but I don't feel like compiling things all day so.

thats weird cause like i said my dad gets it to work with gear very similar if not the same as urs


and i would love to get windows 7 sometime but it would require me to buy a new computer which aint happening anytime soon.

If you had Vista on anything, they will upgrade you for free!

i refused to get vista thats when all my computers switched to mac cause OS x was soo much better than vista

Vista wasn't bad IMO.
It had too much security and was maybe to simple to use, but I found it very usable.

Vista only sucks if you lack ram, otherwise it was fine, aND I GOT WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATEEE

actually i did try it at a friends house as well as at school and it was horrible it was so damn bad that my school had to switch back to xp. all computers they bought after that point were vista ready computers and they installed xp onto it lol

My friend has vista. it wouldnt work with his monitor. froze like no tommrow.
