Favre to the Eagles?

Big rumors going on that the Eagles are interested in Brett Favre. Who knows if he'd be willing to take a backup role? I will say that he might consider it because if you use the simple numbers you realize Vick has NEVER completed a full 16 game season.

Vick is still amazing, top 5 qb in the NFL right now. I don't think farve would be willing to be a backup he wouldn't last the whole season, even than he is washed up and should stay retired before he gets to seriously hurt.

It's false. Jay Glazer reported that his two Eagles sources said Favre absolutely won't be coming to Philly. I'm rooting for Vince Young as a back up once the season starts and we trade Kolb. His play style is reminiscent of Vick and we wouldn't have to adjust the offense TOO much if Vick went down.

Not if but when, as I said he's never had a full year in the NFL. So you'll need a quality backup. Vince Young sucks monkey balls though.

theres a first time for everything, I think Vick will only miss tops 2 games this year if any. Eagles should trade Kolb for a high draft pick or for a solid defensive back.

Eagles Offensive line isn't good enough to protect Vick all year. He plays very recklessly. You'll definitely need someone who can go in and win 3-5 games for your team. It's a good option if I were the Eagles coach/owner. Eagles want to win now, part of planning your season is to plan for every contingency.

Also top 5 QB really SWK? I mean it's not that I'm just biased because I hate Vick, but Manning, Brady, Bree's, Rivers and Aaron Rodgers are all better then Vick.

Agreed on the Eagles line is a little week but Vick has been working out since last season getting stronger and don't forget he is faster than some of the RB in the league and you have easily seen him escape from a whole defensive team. If I were the eagles I would keep Kolb for this 1 yr just because he can win those 2 games Vick may be out, IF he gets injured.

Vick is better than some of those qb's you talked about look at the stats from last year. Vick has speed, a canon for an arm, and is very accurate. Also he can put the team on his back and lead them to victory, proven in that Giants Eagles game where they came back and won. Manning and I hope your talking Peyton because Eli is a joke is getting old and yes he had a great career but now 35 years old and just having neck surgery is injury prone.

Vick is 31, and definitely not better then any of the QB's I mentioned. No matter what stats you use. Try comparing some of their lifetime stats against Vick and the gap widens farther. I'd expect Eagles opponents to be better prepared for Vick this year.

It never stopped. I cheer against him at every chance I get, it's nothing personal. I don't even hate the Eagles, just Vick. I don't wish him to get hurt though, but his history is pretty sketchy when it comes to getting hurt.

Atleast you didn't say Flacco was better than vick lol or else this would turn into a 4 page thread of you and me going back and forth on them.

looks like Vince Young took the back up role. Vick's playing style perhaps Andy Reid and Vick together can improve this guy

He is, he's won playoff games and has better career stats in just 3 years as a pro.

Meh Vick has won playoff games too. If you put two together in a line up 80% will pick up Vick on their team over Flacco. He can do more. Flacco is a pocket passer nothing wrong with that i know a couple guys who are pretty good pocket passers....Brady, Manning.....but right now if the hottest QB in the league is Michael Vick. He will get his playoff experience dont worry, it was his first year back....and he was sick with it. I do like Flacco tho dont get me wrong. Just people have to change their defense because of Vick whereas with Flacco they do not.
